About Us

As a young girl, Sonya along with her mother and two older sisters moved to Stockton, California where her single mother worked at a Christian Bible College as a professional cook. This was during a time when fashionable women’s clothing was not easily accessible. Her mother would let Sonya pick and choose from different patterns to design her own unique dresses to be sewn by her precious mom, Carol. At an early age, she developed a love for design and that love for fashion has only grown stronger throughout the years.

Being the last one at home she moved with her mother to Portland, OR for five years, St. Paul, MN for three years, and in 1984 they landed in Phoenix, AZ where she met and married the love of her life Greg Bryant. The newlyweds lived in the Phoenix metro area where her husband was an assistant pastor. In 1989 they would relocate to Sierra Vista, AZ, where her husband would pastor his first congregation. God called them to Canton, MS in 1995 where they raised their three wonderful boys and remain to this day. In 1998, Sonya realized how difficult it was to find classy modest fashion. She had such a talent for fashion and decorating that she started the journey in design originally named Classy Collections. The name was later changed to Zadie B's Fashions, in honor of her grandmother.

At the start of her career, Sonya began primarily traveling throughout the southeast and doing trunk shows for ladies' conferences, camp meetings, and General Conference. It would not take long for her to make a name for herself within the modest clothing world. In 2003, she opened her first brick-and-mortar home decor boutique. In 2007, the marketing manager of Northpark Mall came to the store and encouraged her to open a location in the mall.

What originally started in a 600 sq ft. location, quickly grew into a 6,000 sq ft. store by 2008. Zadie B's had found its place at Northpark Mall in Ridgeland, MS. But this would be the start of more to come, as Zadie B’s Fashions morphed into a home decor store and clothing boutique.

 In 2013, the first original Zadie B's private collection was launched and sold online and in her Ridgeland store. Her designs are exclusive pieces and are proudly manufactured in the U.S.A. Today these beautiful garments are shipped all over the country as the demand for Zadie B’s clothing has continued to rise.

In Humble, TX, she launched her second store in November of 2018. One year later she opened a third store in Branson, MO. Since then, she has added locations in Sevierville, TN, Central City, KY, Nacogdoches, TX, and Monroe, LA. In the past few years, Zadie B’s has grown exponentially, and we contribute to this success because of giving to the kingdom and sowing into missions. We are abundantly grateful and to God be the glory.

With Zadie B’s brand continuing to grow, in 2021, Sonya along with her husband purchased and renovated two buildings. Here they transitioned from the mall to a much-needed Website, Logistics, and Corporate Office as well as a beautiful new Zadie B’s Boutique.

Today Zadie B’s Fashions has thousands of followers on social media and has grown tremendously over the past decade. We are so thankful to our loyal customers who continue to shop with us year after year. Thank you for making Zadie B’s what it is today!
